Present: I am entering my sixth decade of life and have been a committed follower of Christ for the past 30 years. I am employed at INL as a Quality Engineer, overviewing the program for the characterization of TRU waste for shipment to New Mexico permanent storage. I have been married to Shirley for 40 years. We raised three children, two of which are in Idaho, and have four grand daughters by our oldest daughter. Our son is a locomotive engineer and our youngest daughter lives in Arkansas. I am currently serving as Adult Ministries Director, am teaching a sunday school, lead a once a week Purpose Driven Life class at the City of Refuge and enjoy fellowship in the Mens' Ministry.
Interests: I enjoy hiking, cross country skiing, camping, yard work, vocabulary study, church history study; and I read the Bible everyday.
Past:I was born in Toledo, Ohio and have one brother, Phillip who still lives in Ohio. I grew up Catholic and attended a Catholic grade school from grade 6 through 8. I attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1970. Shirley and I were married on September 13, 1969. We were blessed with the births of our three children: Dawn, Jerome (Jem) and Katie (Kate), while living in Ohio. I taught Confirmation Preparation at the Catholic parish. We were part of the Catholic Church until 2003 when we started attending the local Assembly of God. I was adult baptized in the Niagara River (a safe distance upstream of Niagara Falls). I was the director of a 40 Days of Purpose Campaign at the Assembly of God in 2005 and then again at the Idaho Falls Church of the Nazarene in 2007.
Belief: I fully believe in the Articles of Faith as published in the Manual of the Church of the Nazarene. I am pro-life and believe in kindness to all God's creatures. I tithe to my church and encourage everyone else to take part in that blessing as a Christian. I believe in personal holiness.
